I Don’t Care that Romney won Nevada. Whoopee.

Having said that, you have to admit that Newt does his dead level best when he focuses on the positive side of Newt and anything Obama.

Newt, we get it. Romney is an opportunist who will say what he needs to say and do what he needs to do to try and get himself elected.

Romney is the Chameleon Candidate. Liberals like that. A LOT.

We also get the fact that the mushy moderates among us are once again giving us, the true blue conservatives of the nation, another mushy moderate presidential candidate. Same as happened with Dole. Same as happened with McCain.

We also get the fact that all the mushy moderate superstars and even a few of “our guys” are rallying to Romney.

McCain likes Romney. Trump likes Romney. Huckleberry likes Romney. Absolutely no surprises.

Well, Trump was a bit of a surprise, given his past statements, but you know those two have something cooked up, else that endorsement never would have happened. Conservatives don’t care about Trump anyway. Way too fat cat 757 high flying sneaky.

Disclaimer: As good conservatives we praise and give all the credit to Trump when he makes lots of money and wish him all the best on his TV show on NBC and gigs with Hannity and Greta, and know he’s just like us, except he doesn’t know how to eat pizza.

Seems like all the big boys marching behind Romney are either moderates, liberals, or deal makers. Collectively, they are called the “establishment.”

Folks who genuinely like Romney must be respected. On the other hand, folks who are just going along to get along, or doing what their Republican masters tell them deserve NO respect. These are the people who lost the last election for us. Thank you very much.

But Newt….

You are playing into Romney’s hands with the lame personal attacks. You aren’t changing any mind numbed robot Republicans minds, and you aren’t firing up your base of conservatives.

You must whittle Romney in a more artful fashion.

Yes Newt, Romney is living in your head rent free and everybody but you sees it. Every time you go after the man, you empower him. YOU KNOW THAT….

So, Luke Gingrich, don’t give into the dark side. Let your strength flow by minimizing the silly predations of Romney and maximize your powers by busting Obama and giving out reasons to vote FOR YOU.

Do that, and let folks figure out why NOT to vote for Romney on their own.

I know it’s a fine line and I know that folks are not always as smart as they ought to be, but you know that the best told tale is a tale that tells itself, and not one spelled out sentence for sentence.

When you must defend yourself, tell half of it and let us figure the rest out on our own. That’s the way the lesson sticks the best and most deeply.

You have this greatness in you Newt.

Be the story teller…not the narrator. You know that.

        Faithful Reader: If you happen to agree with my assessment, why not do what you can to make sure Newt sees it. You have your resources. Put this in front of him and sign off on it yourself.

When I am overtaken by the constant barrage of things that make NO sense from the left, I remind myself of an immutable fact, and then I can find a measure of peace…

Whatever the left says is ALWAYS and FOREVER the exact opposite of the truth. ALWAYS.

So when you hear an outrageous exclamation from a liberal, apply reverse logic and you will always learn what they really think. It works every time it is tried. It’s no more complicated than that.

Often, my articles here on The Most Conservative website, AlabamaTeaParty.org, are lengthy and contain humor, mostly in the form of satire. Many times I present artwork to illustrate whatever point that I am making. I have a modest following. Many political blogs have more readers.

That said, I want to get straight to the point in this edition. We’re all grownups. I don’t have many “newbie” readers. Most folks who come here are at least as smart as me. Many times, I would suspect, smarter.

I am not a Romney supporter. Of course, if he wins I would support him to the hilt. Same for all of them, even Paul, reluctantly.

In the meantime, I have said from the get-go that our problem has NOT been a LACK of talent this time around. Our problem is the ABUNDANCE of conservative firepower. How can you make a proper choice with all the great candidates?

Barring a miracle, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, and Jon Huntsman aren’t going anywhere. Two of those three choices, I feel, are walking disasters if nominated.

Thus it comes down to Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum.

If the course is maintained, Romney will win for the simple mathematical reason that Gingrich and Santorum tend to cancel each other out.

The answer is obvious. If Gingrich and Santorum would reach an agreement to run as a team then it would be a fair race.

I believe, even a lead pipe cinch for the conservative wing of the party. One to be president and one to be vice president.

Has this been done before? Not that I know of. Must one or the other drop out of the race? Yes. Would their egos let them? Unknown.

I don’t think it is a leap to say that this solution will become much more evident at the conclusion of South Carolina, and a must consider proposition at the conclusion of Florida.

Barring a miracle, it’s either this or get ready for President Romney.

The miracle would be if they would actually do it.

Lastly, would the voters approve this innovative but wholly novel solution?

I say they would if the right people approved of it first. Rush. Cain. Palin.

Nobody wants hard news any more. They only want things like the latest Gallup Poll, blah, blah blah. But you get the hard stuff here on the ATP.

You and I know that if Iowa and New Hampshire both were stolen overnight by a space alien from a dying world to repopulate their planet with more liberals, that at a minimum it would be three hours before anyone noticed the smoking holes.

It has happened before. Several years ago space aliens with too many liberals plunked a Nevada shaped piece of planet complete with their excess libs down on top of the home state of Nevada senator Harry Reid. Nobody noticed. Dig down 30 feet anywhere in the state and you’re liable to find the original inhabitants down there, flatter than granny’s Sunday pancakes.

But what is happening right now today is worse. It has become a big no-no to question the ethics and character of Mitt Romney and Fox News is leading the charge. Have you noticed how protective they have become of the Mitt?

The nomination process is over. Our candidate for president was decided in Iowa and New Hampshire. The other 55 states can save their primary money. It’s a win win!

Of course, as soon as Mitt receives the presumptive crown at the end of the day with scrutiny he’ll jack rabbit to the center “because it’s what you have to do to win the vast pool of undecided voters.”

They have done it to us again.

As best as I can determine, if the reports are true, Romney has in his portfolio the practice of buying businesses with the sole goal of destroying them for profit.

I happen to know that you feel about like I do. Your guts tell you at a ratio of  55/45  that you think this is ok, because it’s part of capitalism.

How would would one go about making a profit from destroying a business?I thought about it and came up with a scenario…

Suppose there is a food warehouse out there that maintains a full stock of goodies. But because their college educated CEO is a total dumb head, now they have their butt in a crack. The business, including the groceries (which are paid for) is worth conservatively ten million. But because of bad management they need a million to pay operating expenses for the coming month or two or they’ll have to shut down. File for bankruptcy.

To the rescue comes Bad Capital, an investment firm, which buys the warehouse for a neat $5 million bucks. This means the CEO is off the hook with a nice little severance package to boot.

Bad Capital has two roads they can travel. Pump in a million bucks to keep the warehouse operating, or sell off the building and assets, lock stock and barrel.

They crunch the numbers in their Microsoft spreadsheet and determine that it will take longer to make back their $5 million investment than they want to wait.

So, (While sending out happy happy memos telling the employees not to worry) they sell the building, trucks, forklifts, tow motors, groceries….everything for cost (Which just happens to be $10 million bucks), and pocket $5 million dollars profit without selling one truckload of groceries.

That’s how to buy a business, dismantle it, and make a profit.

The only thing left to do, is to sponsor a phony work fair for the employees who are out of a job now. Or maybe they don’t even do that.

I, myself, have never been the victim of a demolition scenario like the above, but I have come close.

For 14 years I was employed by a company which was sold 3 times. Each time, I and the other employees worked very hard to get the business back in the black, foregoing raises and such, so the business could be sold again. Eventually, the halls, which had once seen traffic from 50 semi-happy employees was finally emptied.

So I know the pain this sort of capitalism brings for the little guy.

Be that as it may, I, like you, defend the right of a person or business to practice this destructive capitalism, as it has been called.

However, this practice should be called SCROOGE CAPITALISM. Is it OK to do it? Yes. Is it right? No, obviously.

A man who practices this mode of business….Well, it says a lot for the man, doesn’t it?

But BEYOND this… There is ONE OTHER REASON you don’t approach business this way.

The reason my friends is something called, “What Goes Around Comes Around.”

I don’t care if you are religious or not. I’m pretty sure you are a believer in payback. Let me be the one to remind you that it is an absolute fact of nature that man pays for his actions…sooner or later. It is ALWAYS this way. We don’t know when, or how, but we do know it is inevitable.

Thus, Romney is paying now and it just so happens that the angel Gingrich is the man holding the lien. If he hadn’t chosen his destructive capitalism path back then, then you must admit, what we’re seeing today would not be happening. Refer to the documentary, “Back To The Future” for the theory of diverging paths, etc. I do.

Just goes to show you that if you have any idea of becoming president some day, if you’re a conservative, you best walk the path that is straight and narrow.

BTW, I gave my humble opinion of Romney back in October, (Which was well before I knew ANYTHING about his biz background)  when I made the observation that he reminded me of every bad CEO I never knew.

It’s suck city time, Tea Party friends. Romney would not be in the position of having to explain himself right now if he had not been so quick to (slyly) go along with the scorched earth campaign against Newt.

Newt, who was major ticked by the Romney shenanigans in Iowa is even now in the process of running his very own type of scorched earth, salted well campaign against Romney.

Unfortunately, once again the little guy loses. What WE want is to see these two giants JOIN FORCES to GET RID of Obama! Instead, it’s the Tit For Tat show. Amateur hour.

In the meantime, Obama chuckles. Plays golf and chuckles. Well, plays golf, chuckles, and possibly schemes for a brilliant October surprise for Iran. Obama loves surprises.

Tea Party Hobbits all agree that the McCain endorsement of candidate Romney says more about the man, the plan, and the future of the Republican party if the establishment wins than just about anything else to come down the pike this election cycle.

No man ever did more to help create the Tea Party than that rascally McCain with his brilliant run for the presidency last time around when he niced Obama into the White House.

Now sit there and tell me you didn’t feel a thrill running down your Tea Party leg when you learned of McCain’s selfless endorsement of Mit.

The ATP was saddened to learn that one of our earliest supporters, Kim Jong IL was suddenly struck by death on a train trip to Hawaii over the Christmas holidays

Kim Jong, who you may remember, led the victorious NK forces as it battled the forces of the imperial nation of America.

America, led by President Truman, finally sued for peace, offering land if IL would just call his guys off. IL declined to accept Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nevada, but ended the war anyway.

Kim Jong, who died of the sudden ILness, will be fondly remembered, and we eagerly look forward to the resumption of his witty comments, when his move to his new residence is completed.

In other news, sales this Christmas were in the minus numbers until our dear leader, President Obama using the American credit card hit on a scheme to save the nation’s bacon… He rented the state of Hawaii for Christmas.

The American credit card, btw, is not to be confused with the American Express card. The American card is an open ended charge card issued to Obama by the adoring American people when he was inaugurated.

Calling on all millionaires like Rush Limbaugh and Nancy Pelosi to aid their country in time of crisis, soon, all the congressional millionaires and others were flocking to the big Christmas party in the Aloha state.

In no time at all, because of online orders for seafood, liquor, golf equipment, etc., the Christmas sales slump was reversed. Now, with sales figures proudly sitting at plus 16, the country has a fine financial bump going into 2012.

If you’re like me, and you probably are, else you wouldn’t be here, you’re most likely about worn out with talk radio right about now. All our favorites are off playing golf or loafing around the mansion…whatever, and the second stringer fill-ins just don’t cut it.

Besides all that even WE need a break once in awhile. It’s the Christmas season, and we’d like to jolly on up some.

Me personal? I start MY Christmas right after Halloween. I LIKE Christmas.

And how do I do that, you might ax? Well, it’s simple really. I have a couple or three hundred or so old time CHRISTMAS radio shows that I play while I’m working, traveling, or sitting up in my lonely hunting stand. Things like that.

I even have my own personal FM radio station so that I can listen to my selections on the radio while I’m doing useful things in the yard. It’s FM 107.9 and if you’re within two blocks of the house sometime I invite you to tune in.

Frankly, I don’t know why I never thought to mention this here before now. I have been doing this for Christmas for years and years.

Are You A Real Conservative Yet?

This election season has brought in a boatload of new folks. Maybe you are one of them. Chances are that you are new to conservatism. All things considered in your life, you reason, and from everything you hear and read, you ARE a conservative. At least more conservative than not. And this is just fine.

I suspect most folks are born liberal and have to learn conservatism. You might be only 80% conservative now, but the rest will come in time, if that’s your fate. Stuff like that.

Once upon a time there was a guy named Nemo or Nero, Neto..something like that and he was so confused that he went to see a computer generated program lady to find out what he was. All he learned on that visit was that she couldn’t bake cookies worth a dang and that sometimes a spoon is not a spoon. The boy was mighty confused. The good news was that he eventually figured out that not only was he a conservative, but the most powerful and best conservative ever grown in a test tube. Therefore there is time and hope for you as well.

You might be surprised to learn that real conservatives are not iconoclastic. That’s a big word that means we don’t all think alike.

I happen to be a social conservative and a fiscal socialist. What this means is that I believe in God, country, motherhood, etc;, but I also believe that rich folks have too much money and I want some of it. I remain a conservative by the letter of the law because I’m not only willing to work to get their money, but also, I wouldn’t want it any other way.

But one thing I have learned…and learned the hard way. There are two classes of conservatives…

• Rich conservatives

• Poor conservatives

AND these two sets of conservatives are NOT the same. What I have learned is that as for rich folks, MONEY TAKES CARE OF MONEY. Most often, rich conservatives and rich liberals have a lot more in common with each other than with poor conservatives.

In the big cities, where chaos reigns, you might not notice the differences. But in small town America, it’s pretty glaring. In small town America, the poor folks know who the rich folks are.

Try me out. You live in a small town and you know the rich folks. You might be one to say, “Hey, old rich farmer Fred acts just like one of us!”

Right away you just made a class distinction. “Hey, farmer Fred puts his coveralls on one suspender at a time just like me. And he’s always good for a wave or a hello down at the corner soda shop. He milks his own cows and gets in his own hay. He’s a regular guy!”

However, farmer Fred is not a regular poor guy. He’s not because if the by gone doggedest hottest summer to ever come along drys up all of his hay crop, and all his cow’s udders fall off, farmer Fred still has plenty of money in the bank. He’ll get by…..and he KNOWS it. But since he’s a conservative too, he doesn’t get cocky about it.

Now, a real conservative wouldn’t have farmer Fred envy. A real conservative would be glad that his friend and neighbor, rich old farmer Fred was able to weather the summer. And real conservative farmer Fred doesn’t flaunt his wealth. He might go on a cruise in Alaska at the end of the long dry summer, but he doesn’t brag on it. Rich and poor conservatives get along.

Unfortunately, farmer Fred might be on the cruise with the most liberal rich family in the county. Money runs with money and money takes care of money…most times.

Which brings us to Newt Gingrich. (A few columns back, I invited him to comment, and I still haven’t heard from him, btw…)

Newt Gingrich is a rich conservative. This is undeniable. What’s also undeniable is that for years I have watched as he hobnobbed with all the richest conservative folks, societies, clubs, groups, combines, PACS, you name it. You never saw him partying with any poor conservatives.

So, it strikes me as a bit odd that nowadays, you are far more likely to see him in an Iowa coffee shop slurping bad coffee and eating a pastry rather than in the halls of the rich and famous conservatives slurping wine and eating cheese. Even better, the poor conservatives have formed the base of his support, and most of his fat cat rich friends have turned their backs on him.

For YEARS Newt has carefully cultivated rich conservatives…and now, even as he stands at the foot of the throne, they deny him thrice before the chicken calls at daylight. But the poor conservatives flock to him.

Newt, have you learned YOUR lesson? RICH Republicans are often just another name for ELITE Republicans….and those folks are often on a different track than POOR Republicans.

Newt, since your base of support these days is most often made up of POOR Republicans, will you espouse their interests before and after your ascension, or will you turn back to your old fat cat (Elite Country Club) Republican pals who no doubt will once again allow you to be their friend?

There is a lesson here for us all. Money takes care of money until they turn on you.

This is a really strange election season. Mui el loco, as they say a little further south.

He allowed that he followed certain indicators outside of the normal ones you might expect to give him a sense of how the country’s finances were financing.

I could imagine him sitting in his car each day counting the number of freight cars passing by on the morning train. He never said exactly what he was watching…so I suppose that is as good as anything. Could have been how business was going down at the hotdog stand. Who knows? But it put a bug in my ear.

Personally, I find the little things very intriguing. Take my “cuzzin” Alex, my long time friend in mother Russia. Today in my inbox I find a note. He said, simply:

I didn’t need to follow the link to translate what he was talking about. He was speaking, of course, about Newt’s statement about our friends the Palestinians, hardly any of which wouldn’t give away the chance to have their own nation complete with guaranteed breakfast in bed each morning if only they could add a few Jewish scalps to their hairpiece collection.

Beyond the obvious point cuzzin Alex was making, you will observe that Russians respect powerful American presidents, and Alex respects Newt above all. Unlike a great many of our elected officials, you’re more likely to get truth from a Russian citizen than lies. They may lie out of politeness, but outside of that, they don’t play games.

This is a little thing, to be sure…but it’s a big indicator to me which candidate our foreign friends find worthy.

In other matters, the TV talk yakkers on the other side of the aisle (and not a few on our side) are going through breathless writings and contortions to explain to us simple people what’s REALLY going on….but friends, they over think. The truth is very simple.

As you know, Beck is waiting for George Washington to ride out from behind the monument that bears his name on a white horse to set things right in a troubled nation.

IF Washington did suddenly appear, he wouldn’t be elected if the elites decided to shove him down our throats. He would be elected in a landslide if we thought it was our idea. Likewise, Romney’s problem is not Romney so much as Romney’s friends in the GOP.

This is the year that WE WILL NOT vote like we’re told. This is the year we’ll vote for the MOST conservative candidate that we can find that is electable.

Right now, the choice is overwhelmingly Newt Gingrich, and a big reason he is so popular with us is because he so unpopular with them 

Right now the Tea Party is exactly 180 degrees out from the left and the elitists. And this is exactly where we need to be, because a confirmed lib will tell you each and every time who you SHOULD NOT vote for by telling you WHO to vote for. Trust the libs in this. Listen to what they have to say, and then do the exact opposite. It works every time is is tried. Tis a shame it is not tried more often.
