Bloomberg Debate Reinforces Some Candidates

Way to go Brian

Way to go Brian!

The Bloomberg debate…which many did not see  because they don’t get the Bloomberg channel on their flat screen TV was also streamed on the net, where I  watched it. You had to hunt really hard on Google to even KNOW that you could see it on your computer.

Conventional wisdom says that Romney is going to be our man in 2012, and indeed he may, but Tea Party folks are looking for something better.

At this point I favor a combination of Cain/Gingrich.

My reasoning is that Cain falters on foreign policy, while Gingrich is a bit of a gadfly and a loose cannon. But together, they reinforce each other to be a most dynamic of duos.

At least on foreign policy, Cain’s heart is in the right place. While he’s busy with 9-9-9, he will always default to the military, unlike the current occupant in the White House who defaults to the ghost of Neville Chamberlain.

The democrats always protrayed Bush-Cheney as “Wag the dog” in that Cheney was the man pulling the strings. As copious history has shown, nothing could be further from the truth.  And so it would be with Cain/Gingrich.

My wife has steadfastly said that Huntsman will be the nominee. The Bloomberg debate lends some truth to her suspicion, as the two candidates the liberal Bloomberg yakkers focused on were….Romney AND Huntsman.

Tea Party types KNOW that the enemy is not so much the democrats, as the Republican elite who will do everything possible to scuttle the election by making sure we have their choice for the nominee. I submit their choice is Romney first, and Huntsman second.

At present, Romney is running a textbook perfect campaign…Keeping his mouth shut between debates and letting nature take its course. Huntsman is treading water, as are most of the rest of the gang.

Perry remains clueless. A major disappointment.

Santorum comes across as a bit petulant.

Bachmann seems to have settled down.

Ron Paul remains the rascally beloved grandfather you take out of the closet only for Thankgiving dinner.

I believe the natural Tea Party choices are Cain and Gingrich, or vice-versa, if things remain the same.

And if all else fails, we still have Romney (Who reminds me of every bad CEO I never got to know)  in our back pockets…real back.

In case you were wondering about the graphic…There is one way to KNOW the correct presumptive (presumptive always sounded like a bad disease to me) Republican candidate to challenge His Majesty.  Simply, the candidate that enlists Bocephus will win. Nothing more complicated than that. Herman Cain already has a leg up, btw.
