Laughter is the BEST Medicine!

On Rush’s show today a lady called in and had the suggestion of the decade…. It goes something like this…
When our leader, President Obama, gives his State of the Union Address, you know how it will go. He’ll tell a big ol whopper and then thrust his chin petulantly forward to await enthusiastic claps from the leftward folks in the gallery. At the same time, the rightward folks will sit on their hands and glower. Ok…. Maybe one of them will yell out, “LIAR”…but we know this is impertinent and bad…
Instead.…this time… When the president issues his whopper, and sticks his chin out, our side should, on cue, howl with riotous laughter! Yes, just laugh out loud with rolling gusto.
There is not one jot or tittle in the congressional rules of decorum decrying gleeful laughter at a presidential joke.
It’s an elegant solution and one that is guaranteed to put our president in a more congenial mood! I wrote my congressmen… How about you?
(Of course it will never happen…but wouldn’t it be fun??)
