Van Jones – A Man and His Times
There is something to be admired about brother Van Jones. For one thing, nobody seems to know his first name. Aside from that, the man did things his way, all the way to the top. Unfortunately, his way sewed the seeds that would grow into his undoing.
In a lighter vein, you may recall a few years back when we nearly lost Iowa in the nuclear incident, and again, you may not. ABC, CBS, and NBC never reported on it.
In the toxic nuclear environment that was created, only mutant monsters could survive, such as is pictured above. In fact, the top life form, the creature with 3 eyes and a hard horny carapace, rose to dominate all other toxic creatures.
Unfortunately for the creature with three eyes and hard horny carapace, it could survive ONLY in the toxic world. The moment pure rains began to fall and dispel the toxic fogs of its world, it gave notice and turned belly up along with the lesser, goofy looking, but likewise deadly organisms that throve on confusion, decay, and equally poisonous biota of their god forsaken Iowan environment.
The man with the two part last name, Van Jones, created his own sort of toxic universe…A universe that he could survive and thrive in. But like the deadly nuclear fogs of Iowa, once the pure life giving rains began to fall, he could not for long survive, for though he was a handsome creature, given to flowery oratory, and high sounding college words, in the end, twas a low pressure system moving in from the Fox News Network that did him in.
On another note… Let not your heart be troubled. At the very last moment, friend Hannity took up the clarion call for Van Jones’ ouster. Rush played golf. Mark Levin castigated Glen Beck for railing on Van Jones.
Credit is due to Glen Beck and Glen Beck alone for dogging Van Jones out of office. Where our other heroes could and should have taken up the cause, they did little or nothing. It would be a silly and regretful thing for any of them to take any responsibility whatever for Van Jones late night resignation.
Beck is a hero in the great “Mr. Smith Goes To Washington” tradition, and he’s paying a dreadful price. He’s not politically clever like Hannity, or ego challenged like some others. He doesn’t possess the inner conviction of Rush of his infallibility.
Of the whole lot of them, outwardly, at least, he’s the guy most like the rest of us, in his reactions to what he’s gotten himself into. I fear for him and his family. So does he!
Hannity had his great shining moment, and that was his relentless exposure of the good Rev. Wright. One would th
ink that Hannity would think well of Beck for doing essentially the same thing with Van Jones. So far, it’s not the case.
Mark Levin actively railed on Beck (not by name) the week before Van Jones quit. It is vastly ironic that Levin, who adored Hannity for taking on Wright, deplores Beck for his successful derailment of Van Jones. More, if you read Levin’s book, you would think Levin would herald Beck. It’s quite the opposite, and smacks of juvenile egotism.
But, even with this little palace intrigue going on, the liberal finger biters out there should not take heart.
While Republicanism is suffering an identity crisis, Conservatism is not.
Conservatives present a solid, unbreakable front, moving forward, taking no prisoners. The pantie wearing scrofulous picket fences of the kool aid drinking left can not and will not hold. As one man said recently, “If the world survives my generation, it will be in good shape.” And he is right. The one good thing that the hippie generation produced was an excellent batch of kids. They were the guys who restored pride to a country torn to shreds after Vietnam, and they are the guys that will dispel the toxic fog of hippie lib’s last stand liberalism that permeates this country once again.
Van Jones is admirable for the simple reason that he made it to the top…his way. Van Jones is a phenomena of a man and a system created by a phenomena…or better, an aberration. Aberrations occur from time to time. But because they are an aberration, by nature itself, they can not last. Thus, this crazy time we are living in will pass…with a little help from us. Sanity will return, but in the interim, we, as a nation, will be tried in ways that haven’t happened since the founders dealt with their crazy time.
Van Jones is but a symptom, as even his hero and mentor, Obama. It is Liberalism/Communism/Nazism that we fight.
As surely as a cup of sugar put in a gas tank will destroy the engine of an automobile, so does liberalism destroy the engine of capitalism and thus of freedom. This is what has moved conservatives from the couch to the street.
Van Jones is gone. That is one down… There are many more.
Glen Beck deserves our conservative medal of freedom. He’s leading the way, but he can’t do it by himself. Rush, Hannity, Levin, and the rest can not do it all. It will take us all to defeat this monster that has crept in to live amongst us. If you are doing nothing…then you must do something! If you are doing something, do a little more. Now is the time. Now is the time.
