Do as I Say…Not as I Do

Recently I was looking on the search engines for a cute photo to illustrate a political point when quite by accident I blundered into a whole bevy of George Bush/Monkey pictures. Frankly, I had never seen anything like this. After a little checking, it turns out that there has been a whole industry of very talented photoshoppers dedicated to transforming the former (at the time current) president into a chimp.
What does it say when a sizable chunk of the honored opposition gets their kicks out of smut like this? It’s one thing to catch a president in a funny pose, but it’s quite something else to deliberately parade liberal venom for all to see with degrading caricatures. There is something primal about photos like this. It reminded me of something I had seen elsewhere…. I went looking, sickening though it was.
Once upon a time, and maybe now and later, there was a whole industry of ancient photoshoppers dedicated to making Jews look a certain way. In their time they too were considered as progressives and ahead of the curve. You could find their work in museums and classrooms.
Today, in America, our progressives believe what they want to believe and push their party line on the rest of us. We’re so overwhelmed by the volume of garbage pounding us daily that we’re in the reactive mode…nay, defensive mode!
One day, God willing, and a true conservative candidate comes along, we’ll be in the proactive mode. The man (or woman) who stands in front of the microphone and says that as a country, we’re simply not going to put up with crap like this any more will be the next president in a landslide. While we can’t stop filth like this, we can put it on display in the full sunshine, and in so doing, see it wither away and die like the fungus it is.
