A tale of two tales. First there is the man famous for his nostrils poking his butt in your face. Second, when is enough enough, tax payer?
On May 21 2009 the House Energy and Commerce Committee voted to send a new 1000 page bill designed to cap greenhouse gases up for a full vote. Conservatives see the bill as madness. The folks of the future will forever be paying for this bill with more taxes and higher prices on everything…and this is just one in a putrid series of super wacko leftist Hate America First legislation coming from the minds of the demonic democrats.
However, what makes this bill even more special is that when Joe Barton, the top Republican on the committee demanded that the bill be read before the vote, the committee chair, Henry N. Waxman said, “Sure! No prob!” and proceeded to hire a fellow who talks very fast (speed reader? speed talker?) to read it aloud.
Waxman, who admits not having read all of the bill with his name on it, (Waxman-Markey) chuckled at his little joke at hiring the speed reader.
Actually, most of the country was not laughing with him… Conservatives feel like it was a blatant, up-your-nose, whatcha gonna do about it kind of challenge.
Conservatives with a historical bent see it as an out of control congress reaching the apex of the chart line. They see it as going downhill from here.
Once upon a time there was a man by the name of Alphonse Capone. He was a well respected Chicago type politician who made the Chicago way of politics textbook for years to come. Obama is an inheritor and practitioner of the Capone Chicago way. Henry N. Waxman, a low level flunky in the Obama mob, was just flaunting his stuff while he still has it.
At the apex of Capone’s curve, a man by the name of Kevin Costner came to town and kicked Capone’s butt. He put him in jail for misusing his public funds garnered with graft and hooch, much like Obama with his miscreant democrat congress and pork.
Likewise, conservatives yearn for a man like Kevin Costner to come along and unceremoniously put Obama out to pasture along with his cronies like Henry N. Waxman and his felonious speed readers. Perhaps someone like Robert Stack or Elliot Ness. Men of character and valor. Men with guts. Men who’ll give back at least twice as good as they get. “You tax one of us…We come punch you in the nose!” Now that’s the kind of leadership we need. Of course, by 2012, when comes time to cut the rascals like Henry N. Waxman and Obama loose, Elliot, Robert, and Kevin may need to ride into town on a bicycle….and God forbid that they need ammo for their tommy guns. Best that they bring a pocket full of rocks.
