Strictly Alabama — GOP Runoff — Tuesday July 13th 2010
Alabama votes for a new governor Tuesday July 13th, 2010. Whoever wins the Republican runoff will be the new governor.
Even though many of the major socialist Alabama newspapers have endorsed Bradley Byrne, which is very troubling indeed, the AEA has unendorsed him, and this is good enough for me.
His opponent, Robert Bentley seems to be the darling of the AEA, and this is good enough for me.
In his defense, Bentley says he is his own man and will vote with the AEA when they are right, and against them when they are wrong. This is good enough for me.
My preference would be that Bentley vote against the AEA, regardless of their position. Byrne seems to be more inclined to follow my wishes.
At the risk of not being asked to serve in some highly overpaid, phony bologna position in the hallowed halls of Montgomery by eyether of these candidates, frankly, nyether gives me a tingle up the old leg. My goose is thus cooked however it happens to turn out.
In true TeaParty fashion, I’ll roll the dice and hope it doesn’t come up snake-eyes. I’ll pull the lever or slide the card, whichever, for Byrne.
Addition to post from the next day…
Byrne Does Not Win….
This gives me heart. It tells me that I was right all along.
