AlabamaTeaParty.org Names Winner of If I Were Obama Contest

Frankly, we decided to end the “What Would I Do If I Were President Obama” contest early. We were expending too many resources trying to keep up with the many entries.
Besides that, some of the entries were a little appalling. One lady responded that she would take a trip to Spain. That’s all. Just go to Spain. Not only did this exhibit a total lack of imagination, but we thought it just a little selfish. We were hoping to get more selfless answers.
The winner was Harold Lauder of Ogunquit, Maine. Lauder’s winning entry follows…
Dear ATP,
“I have stridden the fuming way of sun-hammered tracks and my feet are very sore. I would buy a pair of cowboy boots for myself and….”
You get the idea. The tract continues on with some poetry and cussing Obama and such. It was the last entry we got, so we just picked it to be rid of this bad idea contest.
Lauder will receive the Grand NoPrize by registered mail. We thank each and everyone one of you that entered your thoughts. Enough of that.

What would you do if you could be President Obama? I am sure you are much like me and have wished that you could be President Obama. While this is highly unlikely to happen, we can dream a little can’t we? Let’s pretend…

If I were President Obama, I would get rid of all the spiders. Except maybe I would keep let live the garden spider, which I kind of like. And the Writing Spider which never bit anyone that I ever heard of. And my wife likes the Wolf Spider. I don’t know why. But I would let that one alone too. My address is included. Please send my prize there!
