Alan Greenspan Say Let The Tax Increases Roll!
In a stunner, and I don’t use that adjective lightly, former, and good riddance Fed Chairman Alan Greespan was on Meet the Press Sunday promoting tax increases.
In case you missed it for good reasons like mucking out the bird cage, here’s the scoop…
When asked by the young, dashing host of Meet the Press host, David Duchovny, the direct question, ” You don’t agree with Republican leaders who say tax cuts pay for themselves?”
MR. GREENSPAN: They do not.
In other words, Greenspan doesn’t believe in tax cuts. The ONLY way you get tax cuts these days is to put them in place and let them pay for themselves as they have done time after time. It’s the way it works.
There have ever only been two real czars in this country. J. Edgar Hoover of the FBI and Alan Greenspan of the Fed. In contrast, the rest have been piddly little czarinas. (Little czars.)
For years, Greenspan was the darling of the presidents and wielded more and totally secret power than the Russian czars with his goings on at the Fed. He was in power through some of the worst financial times in the nation’s history. To this day I don’t know if he ameliorated or caused the financial collapse and aftermaths during his tenure at the Fed. More, I have often wondered if his actions laid the groundwork for where we are today.
Greenspan either had a stroke early on and is only well now, or has had a stroke recently. Either way, his current comments are bizarre to say the least.
In the next article, you’ll learn that Greenspan was one of Ayn Rand’s earliest disciples. And if Rand could, she would rise from her low place in the ground and simply pinch his head off. It’s that serious.
Greenspan committed blasphemy of the most egregious sort.
