Most Conservative Blog – Restoring Honor – Glenn Beck
I watched all of Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally this past Saturday morning with the intensity and pleasure of a pious church goer at his favorite church.
I was raised in church and have spent the better part of my life in same, but I’m not what you would call pious. However, Glenn Beck’s multi-denominational rally struck just the right chord. It struck a chord that I have not experienced in a long time. It was truly a blessing. If you were fortunate enough to be able to watch it on CSPANN or on Facebook, you know what I mean.
After, the usual suspects in the news media began their usual hatchet jobs. Some of the articles that were available on Saturday, post the rally, looked as if they were written before the rally. Indeed, they could have been.
Saturday afternoon, just after the 300-500,000 person rally ended, CBS News reported that exactly 87,000 people attended the Restoring Honor rally, which was less than the 100,000 that Beck had predicted. Too bad, Glenn.
Saturday night, Grrraldo rounded up the Rev. Al Sharpton, a Baptist Minister. (Where is Reverend Sharpton’s church? Can someone tell me?) Reverend Sharpton flopped around like a beached carp on the matter of the rally. You’ve seen his interviews.
Sunday, President Obama said he had not watched any of the Restoring Honor rally. He characterized the attendees as folks who are dissatisfied with the way things are going, and said that they are “easily led.” He dismissed them saying that you find them in any time of distress. No big deal.
The Shine Is Off Our Imams
I expected the usual left wing media culprits to dismiss Beck and the Restoring Honor rally. More, I expected (but fervently hoped I would be proven wrong) the usual suspects on our side to do the same.
I’m disappointed beyond measure at the response of our own leaders, those people being Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin.
I listened to the first hour of Levin and he did not mention the Restoring Honor rally. If later, he did, I”ll be more than happy to retract or revise.
Rush Limbaugh could not be contacted for his reaction, because he’s off on another golf frolic, this time for a week and a half. He also mentioned Thursday’s show that he’d be taking off in November for another. November? Tell me that I heard that wrong. Please.
Best of all, Sean Hannity said Monday to a caller that he hadn’t had time to listen to much of the rally Saturday because he was busy. That’s fair enough, because he had just come off his own tour.
But let’s be candid. It’s quite in line for the “mainstream media” to behave the way they did about the rally. We lament their behavior bitterly. But what about our own leaders?
Rush spends more and more time wheel’s up lately, so I wonder where his head really is at times. Levin gives the appearance that he hates Beck. Hannity shys away from anything Beck much as you or I would a poisonous snake.
I’m not calling for a love fest. I’m not even calling for these very competitive leaders to cooperate. But I am calling for common courtesy. When Levin and Hannity IGNORE something as massive as the Restoring Honor rally, they are also ignoring their own base. They, in effect say that we don’t matter.
When you ask our leaders, “What about that Restoring Honor rally?” and they respond, “What rally?” it’s time for an adjustment.
If the peril the nation faces isn’t enough to foster at least a courteous common cause among the people we look to for news and guidance, then their council must be tempered with the knowledge that they have agendas above what is apparent.
Frankly, I expect better, and more from these men. For example, Rush is in no position to make judgments about Obama’s multitudinous vacations. Rush has diminished himself, at least in my eyes, on this topic. (Rush would have a belly laugh over what *I* think.) Likewise, I must filter whatever Hannity says through a petty filter. And Levin… Levin most of all disappoints, because side by side, there isn’t a dime’s worth of difference between his views and those of Beck.
So, please don’t think that is just me. Liberals the nation over take comfort when our leaders dis each other…and in the case of the Restoring Honor rally, the half million who attended and the untold others who watched on CSPANN and Facebook.
What in God’s name are these men thinking? Now is the time for unity. A nation of conservatives are in harmony. Is it not right to ask at least a portion from the men we turn to for advice and leadership in this, the most important political times in the last 150 years? I can’t take a man seriously who doesn’t return the favor.
Obama is NOT a Muslim
The burning question of the week has finally been answered. President Obama is neither a duck nor a Muslim. However, he is enthralled by something called, Collective Salvation.
The MOST CONSERVATIVE Website in the United States of America puts the Muslim theory to bed once and for all.
Ever since I brought the question as to whether President Obama, may he be blessed 72 times, was a Muslim or a duck, the country has been literally melting down with opinion.
President Obama, “Staring into the face of the failure of his economic policy,” as money man Stuart Varney so aptly put it, continues with his Recovery Summer Program. He is recovering nicely with his umpteenth restful vacation at Martha’s Vineyard eating cheese, playing golf, and drinking wine, all on the country’s tab. Bless his widdle heart.
In the meantime, Doctor Glenn Beck, the foremost interpreter of liberals, laid to rest the assertion that Obama is a Muslim. Beck made a very compelling case.
In a nutshell, Beck explained that the confusion set in because Americans don’t know just what in the heck Obama is. But whatever he is, if you’ll just think about it for a moment, he’s not a Muslim.
Obama is not a good Muslim, at any rate. Nor is he a good Christian.
I’m in no theological position to comment on the finer points of Obama’s religious status, but broadly, anyone with any Christian training can see that Obama, by Christian definition, isn’t much of a Christian.
Nor is he much of a Muslim. There are known Muslim tenants that the man breaks. To our best knowledge he does not pray to Mecca four times a day.
He isn’t a Buddhist, Nudist, and definitely not a Jew. He doesn’t seem to be Agnostic. He doesn’t do Catholic things, that we know of. He may be a bit of a Hedonist. Hedonism is a school which argues that pleasure is the only intrinsic good. He’s definitely into that.
The one thing that we do know is that he spent 20 years in the company of Preacher Wright…ol Gosh Darn America himself.
Preacher Wright taught the future President the wacky form of Christianity known as Black Liberation Theology. Says the imminent explainer of religion, friend Wiki, “Black liberation theology maintains that African Americans must be liberated from multiple forms of bondage — social, political, economic and religious. This formulation views Christian theology as a theology of liberation — “a rational study of the being of God in the world in light of the existential situation of an oppressed community, relating the forces of liberation to the essence of the gospel, which is Jesus Christ,”
Obama and his adherents are deniers of common sense and reality. However, this isn’t religious. It’s a mental defect. Thus, if the conservatives say the country is going to hell in a hand basket, Obama suggests we fill the hand basket with sandwiches and go on a picnic. After all, it’s paid for. Right? Besides, what else you got to do? You’re not working right now. Lost your house. No roof. Eat and be merry! The worst is behind us. Three million jobs saved! Could always be worse!
Another thing that is known is that the president believes deeply in something called Collective Salvation.
Most of us have never heard of collective salvation. At least before Glenn Beck rooted it out. He didn’t discover this little hiccup in Obama’s makeup, but he did popularize it. Collective salvation is a way of saying that no man goes to heaven unless all men go to heaven. Something like that. Mostly, it’s about the redistribution of wealth, and the redistribution of wealth is an enduring facet of Obama that we can ALL agree on.
It’s not my intention to explain the intricacies of collective salvation. Just type it into Google. There’s plenty out there on the topic. There is plenty of proof that Obama is deeply in bed with it too.
So, as for Obama, what we’re left with is not a Muslim, but in a way, an ingenious American innovator on a head trip, and a mission direct from Marx. Obama the opportunist. Obama the populist. Obama the self made Manchurian Candidate. In short, everything but Obama the Muslim.
Obama is all of those things blended into crazy stew of so many tasty bits, that while not edible as a whole, has enough ingredients so as to appeal in some fashion to all the hungry radical progressives of the nation. If the peas offend, then concentrate on the carrots.
And you know by your own experience that in your life you have had friends or family members that would defend the peas…or the carrots, to the death. And damn the innocent mashed potatoes with equal vigor. Anyone for a duck leg?
Eugenics and Progressives and Genocide
Today a peek into the real fruits of social democracy. We delve into eugenics as preached by yesterday’s progressives that ultimately ended in genocide. Oops!
Glenn Beck over the last year or so has brought to light a much forgotten “Eugenics Movement” in the United States.
If you have been following Beck, you know of what I speak. If not, briefly, the science of eugenics was promoted by the self same progressives that Hillary Clinton said that she fashioned herself after, albeit as a “modern progressive.” Eugenics is the science of race manipulation to obtain better human specimens.
The practical application of eugenics was seen in Germany beginning in the 30′s lasting up until the last days of World War II. It began with the kindly elimination of the insane (wonder how they missed themselves), the infirm, and folks they didn’t like, leading eventually to 7 million Jews being poisoned, suffocated, shot, gassed, and beaten to death. However, prior to this enlightened social democrat period, it was a popular topic with enlightened Americans. In fact, a case could be made that the Germans learned much of their eugenics art from academic America.
It is not my contention that modern progressives would dip back into eugenics, however, the same faulty mind circuits are still there that allow for goofy and dangerous logic.
In other words, progressives have changed but little, if at all, and they prove it all the time with their wacky causes. They see but only a short distance into the future, and to the past, not at all. The consequences be damned. Full speed ahead.
By comparison, and I mean this sincerely, the Ku Klux Klan were pikers when set side by side with the educated progressives of the time when it came to the final solution of the lesser classes of human beings. The Klan would have been well satisfied with a few lynchings and shipping all non whites back to their country of original origin.
The progressives, however, many of them, would have been satisfied with no less than the complete eradication of anyone not fitting a strict Aryan mold.
Personally, the first time I ever heard the world “eugenics” was on an original Star Trek episode. Every Trek enthusiast knows that the Eugenics Wars took place sometime in the 1990′s…and that it had something to do with building a more perfect man. But that’s about all. For all I knew at the time, and for years after, it may have been a word that Gene Roddenberry made up.
However, now I know that Roddenberry, who often made political statements inside the Trek flickers, had a bone to pick with eugenics. Whether he was referring to what went on in Germany during WWII or the whole can of worms can’t be known.
Of late, as already mentioned, Glenn Beck has re-opened the can of worms, exposing it for a the progressive plot it was. And not just any old progressive plot either. It was evidently an elitist progressive favorite. Elite as in college deans. Contemporary masters of science.
Much as I am sitting here railing against eugenics, at one point in our history, college professors and their bosses were railing for eugenics.
Eugenics does have a bit of a nice ring, you must admit. Wouldn’t it be nice if only the right sort of people were alive? You know, all right handed white guys and strong, yet submissive, large breasted blond women? (Sort of like Sweden.) Everybody polite, and you could leave your doors unlocked? And NO guilt for all the people that were bumped off to make it so?
All possible outcomes of the perfect eugenicized society have all been explored in science fiction and dismissed as so much koolaid eons ago. Causes way more problems than it fixes.
But, once upon a time, the most “intelligent” progressives thought eugenics was a neat idea. Naturally, they had their detractors, much as the the proud progressives of the modern era do with their pie in the sky, consequences be damned, theories.
So, you say, it can’t happen here? Maybe not now, but it did, once, in Germany. As a matter of fact, it happened here as well. It is stated, if not totally spelled out below. Read the numbers.
Contemporary Writings on Eugenics…
Below, find a short bio of Victor C. Vaughn straight from JAMA, the Journal of the American Medical Association in 2000. Below that, read the sinister article in the defunct University Missourian newspaper from 1913 by one in the same, dean Vaughn. The article in toto was written by the “United Press.” You will note that the JAMA did not include any mention of dean Vaughan’s eugenic leanings…
The opening of the historical text below is evidently a foreword and opinion. It appears to be by the presenter, or editor of the piece in the University Missourian. You’ll have to make up your own mind on that. After that, you’ll read Vaughan’s opinions.
Check out the the bio of the University Missourian and the school it belonged to. I expect, if you are a Beck fan, you will not be terribly surprised. If it’s all news to you, hold onto your hat as you check the sources.
I apologize for length and dryness of this offering. What lies above is largely opinion. What lies below is verbatim fact. Read carefully and note the keywords. You’ll find that American progressives did indeed see themselves producing “supermen,”and not necessarily in nice ways.
If you are familiar with the eugenics carried out by Germany in WWII, relate what you read below to what actually transpired 20 years later as the theory becomes fact. Consider what part writings such as this played in the formulation of the Final Solution.
As you’ll find, if you are the least philosophical, and live long enough, nothing EVER happens in a vacuum. You just have to find the pieces and put them together properly. History is prologue.
What you will read below is only a tiny, tiny part of the voluminous text of proof provided by progenitor progressives that remains for our eyes to this day.

Victor C. Vaughan Biography
(Bio from JAMA) Since this article does not have an abstract, we have provided the first 150 words of the full text and any section headings.
Victor Clarence Vaughan (1851-1929) was best known as the dean of the University of Michigan Medical School from 1891 to 1920. A biochemist, hygienist, public health authority, medical educator, and administrator, Vaughan was a leading figure in US medicine during the late 19th century and through the Progressive Era. For example, in 1889 (along with Michigan bacteriologist Frederick Novy), he developed one of the first systematic courses on bacteriology and germ theory for medical students. He was instrumental in the implementation of medical educational reforms years before the landmark Flexner report on medical education of 1910. In the laboratory, Vaughan applied biochemical methods to identifying putrefactive bacteria in food products in order to significantly reduce the incidence of “ptomaine poisoning” in Michigan and beyond.

SCIENCE OF EUGENICS
Victor C. Vaughan of University of Michigan Tells of Efforts of Eugensts.
ANSWER TO BISHOP
Professor Believes all Men and Women Should Undergo Examinations.
To deny the possibility of race betterment is the worst form of infidelity; it means to be without faith in self, in fellow men and in the Creator. Race betterment, which, of course, includes and depends upon self betterment, should influence our daily lives, form a basis for our ethical judgments, determine our political activities, and be a strong motive in our religion.”This statement today from Victor ( Vaughan, dean of the University of Michigan medical department, and world-famed advocate of eugenics, was made in reply to recent utterances of Bishop E. D. Kelly, of the Detroit diocese of the Catholic church, who declared that “the religion that holds God as the author of the human soul must carry on warfare against a so-called science which, under the captious terms of sterilization and sex hygiene, interferes with man’s natural powers, contravenes his God-given free will and robs children of purity and innocence.” Through the United Press. Dean Vaughan today defended the science of eugenics in the follow article:
By Victor C. Vaughan, written for the United Press.
The eugenist is trying to accomplish to things, both of which are essential to the welfare of the human race. One of these is to prevent the multiplication of bad stock, and the other is to encourage the replenishment of the good. The science of eugenics (lost text) its negatives and its positive work. (lost text) -,ative eugenics can succeed only by the help of legal enactments. There must be laws preventing the marriage and reproduction of the unwanted.
Crime is a disease due to heredity, or environment, or both, and at present we permit it to breed and come to maturity in our midst. It will not grow less as long as this continues.
Its breeding places should be located and disinfected. No child should be born into this world save from good stock. However, “good stock” needs some explanation. By good stock the eugenist means one relatively free from undesirable unit characters, and the most important of these are alcoholism, feeblemindedness, epilepsy, insanity, pauperism and criminality. All those classes should be excluded from the list of those to whom is granted the privileges of exercising the highest, holiest, most important function of the race parenthood.
The eugenist does not propose that marriage selections shall be determined by statute, but it does propose to educate the young that selections shall be made on more rational grounds than at present. The eugen!st does not aim to degrade or abolish the institution of marriage, but does aim to inculcate the idea that marriage is the highest and holiest of institutions so holy that he who dishonors it shall be counted worse than an infidel. It is no free love scheme, for that would lead to physical, mental and moral debasement.
The eugenist will endeavor to induce the state to aid in the evolution of the superman by restricting the reproduction of the obviously undesirable. It is even now a crime by statute in the state of Michigan for an individual of one sex to infect one of the other with a venereal disease, whether the relations between the two be that of husband and wife or otherwise. However, such a statute is at present without other than educational value. Inasmuch as the prevention of crime is much wiser than permitting and then punishing it, the state will go further and demand that no marriage be permitted only to those free from those diseases.
It will come to pass that every wise man and woman will under a medical examination once or oftener each year to ascertain whether they are sound or not. In working out this problem the state must supply expert medical advice, because this opportunity must be open to poor and rich alike. Already the sterilization of certain classes under certain restrictions has been localized in eight states, and in one the operation has been performed on more than 700 individuals. The state has a right to protect its honest citizens against those who are evil.
In order to secure protection against the evil doer, the state may and does often take his life; may it not therefore render him incompetent to reproduce his kind?
For many reasons, segregation is better than sterilization, the chief objection being the greater cost. But the cost of this method, as great as it would be, is much less than we now bear from unrestricted multiplication of these classes which now occupy our courts, necessitate a large police expenditure, and fill our reformatories, asylums and penal institutions. The suppression of diseases, both that are transmissible from parent to child and those which affect only one generation, is a state problem and must be solved by the state.

Finally, if you have not seen this, you’re in for a real treat. There are other versions of the same clip…that is the same clip with different pictures and text… but I chose this one because of the translation on the page. I think it makes it an even more powerful window into the damaged mind of the progressive past. It adds even more Orwellian flavor to a historical piece of film dripping with it. Relish the words of George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950), Irish dramatist, literary critic, a socialist spokesman, and a leading figure in the 20th century theater. (And a darned good progressive!)
The Dangerous Audacity of Left Wing Mischief
Glenn Beck warned early in his show that I’d love his upcoming tattletale on the newest iniquities of the left, and he did not disappoint.
Beck allowed that there would be a new blockade busting botilla to challenge Israel on the high seas. The name of this new Kamikaze mission? How about, ” The Audacity of Hope?”
Read on….From the NY Times quoting from something called UStoGaza.org….
We turn to you to help make the U.S. boat, The Audacity of Hope, a reality. We must raise at least $370,000 in the next month. These funds will be used to purchase a boat large enough for 40-60 people, secure a crew, and cover the licensing and registering of the boat. In addition, the funds will subsidize some other costs of sending a U.S. delegation. [...]
From the deck of The Audacity of Hope, we will be in a powerful and unique position to challenge U.S. foreign policy and affirm the universal obligation to uphold human rights and international law.
I’m not Jewish. Being from the deep south, I have probably never met more than a half dozen Jews in my entire life, and I was in grade school when JFK got shot. Nevertheless, I have always been a supporter of the little country as most conservatives are.
When I finished wiping the blood from the couch that had shot from my eyes, I said something very naughty. The Managing Editor of AlabamaTeaParty.org, used to these outbursts, said simply that President Obama should pick up the phone immediately and tell whoever was on the other end to find out who these people are so as to tell him who’s ass he should kick.
Obama is in a similar situation to John Steinbeck, should the KKK have decided to blockade American shipping lanes with a botilla called, “The Grapes of Wrath.”
Obama should ask himself, “What would Steinbeck do?”
If Obama does nothing, then it would be very telling, now wouldn’t it? You can bet this story will be updated…one way or the other.
Who is Show Prep for Rush?
Rush, as we all know IS show prep for the rest of the news industry, or should be. However, this begs the question. Who is show prep for Rush? Nobody you say? Not so fast…
This is something I have been pondering pretty much since founding the AlabamaTeaParty.org blog, but more so lately. What I’m about to say ought to stir up a little controversy…
Study the chalk board…
The other day, Rush said something interesting. He said that he is THE Conservative. Therefore, the rest of the talking heads could only be niches built off the word conservative. Get it?
Niche was a man who I think lived back in the 1800′s somewhere in Germany or somewhere else and wrote some really strange books. Stuff like that.
Today the word “niche” means “subset.” Subset means, “kinda like, but not exactly the same…Complimentary.”
As an example, in my world, if the word jelly is already taken as a website name, then I might look for a jelly niche word like… grape jelly. That’s a subset of jelly, but it still packs plenty of jelly goodness.
Not to belabor the point, in the talking head circles, if Rush is Conservative, then the others out there can only be niches of Conservative. That’s what’s left. Point well taken.
That being the case, if you want to be a conservative talk show host, you have to pick a subset or niche talk show host description and gig. The chalkboard illustrates what I believe to be the current subsets of the superstars.
After Rush, there is the second tier.
Taking nothing away from less well known conservative talk show guys, the bottom row on the chalk board illustrates my take on the Fox evening lineup, excluding Greta. I would have included her, but I ran out of room.
Anyway, can you guess who I’m talking about on the old chalkboard up there? Hmmn?
Not to get the wrong idea. I like them all. But some are…exasperating at times. That’s my opinion.
On a completely different topic, I’m completely taken with Glenn Beck. It is not arguable that watching him is like taking a college course. Some of us (AlabamaTeaParty.org) even have homework. The AlabamaTeaParty.org website is my homework.
Rush says, and well he should, that he is show prep for the rest of the media…but show prep for Rush should be Glenn Beck.
Rush seemed to have been quite pleased with Beck early on, but that seems to have worn off. Witness that occasionally Rush will toss out something as news that we learned on Beck days earlier.
I lamented recently that I longed for the days when we didn’t have to know so much about the inner workings of the socialist radical mind. At the same time I marveled at how far we have come in only two short years, thanks to Beck. Were it not for him, most of us would be oblivious to the hows and whys of the radical things going on around us.
Beck has lain down a master level study of the mind of the liberal/radical/progressive for us all to see and learn from. Countless times he has dropped a dime on the friends of darkness.
Beck has almost single-handedly carried all of us back to school. In comparison, Rush speaks in Cliff notes. Which is NOT to take away from Rush.
But Rush’s brilliant mind is not on biz sometimes… On Thursday July 15th, Rush spent most of the show belly aching about his Ipod or Padeye cellphone. It was vital and important information for us all. Of course, at the end of the show Rush allowed that he would not be there Friday, for he instead would be on his G5 jet drinking wine and champagne at 51,000 feet. Rush is a party kind of guy any more.
If Rush is the high octane fuel in our engines, then Beck is nitrous oxide that makes us race cars. Dumb analogy unless you’re a NASCAR fan. Then it all becomes very clear indeed!
